Just a Bar & CARLA CARGO - Mobile cocktail bar on a bicycle in Graz

The story

Nino, 38, is originally from Berlin and has lived in Graz, Austria, for many years. As a restaurateur, he loves good drinks, a special atmosphere and being right behind the cocktail bar himself. At the same time, cycling has been an integral part of his everyday life for years.

The idea of combining the two therefore came about almost by itself:
a mobile cocktail bar on a bicycle.

After the first small-scale attempts and a request for an event with 200 guests, it quickly became clear that the concept had to be thought of on a much larger scale. Professional events, weddings and company celebrations not only need good cocktails, but also an efficient and flexible transportation solution.

This is how Just a Bar was born - a mobile cocktail bar that travels to its locations entirely by bicycle.

The challenge

Transporting a professional cocktail bar for up to 200 people involves enormous demands. Glasses, spirits, ice cubes, ingredients, bar tools and the entire bar setup quickly add up to a heavy load.

At the same time, the concept had to remain flexible and economical - without complicated logistics.

The search was therefore on for a load trailer and a high-quality body for professional gastronomy that:

• enables a high payload,

• is stable and safe to drive,

• remains flexible for different superstructures,

• arrives directly at the place of use

• and is also easy to move in urban areas.

The solution

With the CARLA and a custom-built setup from [P3]-Werkstatt , Nino found exactly the solution that made his mobile bar concept a reality.

The CARLA’s high payload capacity, exceptional driving stability, and flexible loading area make it possible to transport a complete cocktail bar by bike—including equipment for events with up to 200 guests.

Today, Nino regularly rides his CARLA to weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, and events in Graz and the surrounding area. The cargo trailer doesn’t just transport the bar—it’s also part of the overall setup.

The big advantage:
Nino can take the mobile cocktail bar almost anywhere—right into courtyards, gardens, or event spaces that would often be difficult to reach with a conventional vehicle.

For Nino, one of the best moments is when guests realize that the entire bar was actually transported by bicycle: “They’re often in disbelief and wait until I ride off again just to see what’s possible on a bicycle.”
