The story
Goldeimer, the well-known social enterprise from Hamburg, has a clear mission: to provide safe access to toilets worldwide. Its vision: climate-resilient, waterless, and circular sanitation.
This summer, they are touring Germany's festival grounds with a special eye-catcher—an eCARLA with a mobile squat urinal for women, designed by Werkhaus.
Whether at Hurricane, Deichbrand, Wacken or even at the Millerntor Gallery in the FC St. Pauli stadium, the eCARLA makes its way across rough terrain to where people are celebrating – and where they need a toilet.
Thanks to its electric drive, it effortlessly transports the heavy structure, information material and Goldeimer's message directly to the people.
One highlight: at the Hurricane Festival, a marching band spontaneously joined in as the eCARLA rolled through the crowd with the urinal – a colorful, cheerful procession that not only attracted attention but also collected many signatures for the petition for gender equality in toilet facilities.
For Goldeimer, it's clear: the mobility revolution and the sanitation revolution go hand in hand – uncomplicated, unconventional, and on equal footing. A really good campaign on the move.
