Maximum volume - efficient logistics with Groenbezorgen

The story

Groenbezorgen is a bicycle courier company from the Netherlands that is fully committed to sustainable logistics. With a clear vision: to make cities cleaner, quieter and more efficient.

The contact with CARLA came about through the social media posts of another CARLA Hero - Kurierzentrale Basel. In the search for a solution to move more transport volume per bike, it quickly became clear: this could be a good fit.

Today, five CARLAs are a permanent part of the fleet - and it's hard to imagine everyday life without them.

The challenge

As a growing courier service, Groenbezorgen was faced with a classic challenge of urban logistics:

• Limited transportation volume per bike

• Increasing demand for efficient, sustainable deliveries

• High demands on reliability and suitability for everyday use

In order to remain economical, more goods had to be moved per trip - without compromising on flexibility or sustainability.

The solution

With CARLA, Groenbezorgen found exactly the extension they were looking for. With the additional City Long Box, up to 1100 liters of volume can now be achieved on the CARLA alone.
In combination with their tried and tested Bullit cargo bikes , a system was created that perfectly combines volume, efficiency and driving dynamics.

The CARLAs are now in daily use - from Monday to Friday, often several at the same time. They enable the team to transport significantly more parcels per tour and at the same time get them to their destination reliably and dry.
